Dogs Are Welcome

We have owned everything from Irish Wolfhounds to Pomeranians so size is not a problem for us.

Laurent and I decided to open this kennel because our fantastic dog-sitter was not always available and we were not comfortable leaving our dogs with anyone else. We provide a clean, safe, friendly environment where the dogs spend a great deal of time outside of their runs and are both mentally and physically active so they are happy, healthy and content. Both Laurent and I have many years of experience with dogs and are happy to be able to use that in our lifestyle here at the kennel.

Anyone interested may drop by to see the facilities - because we have walks that take us away from the kennel, we suggest calling ahead to be sure we are here. When we are not in the immediate vicinity, the kennel is locked for the security of the guests that are still inside.

Laurent has a "Maitre Chien, Mention Speciale" diploma from France and has worked with and trained security dogs. He has also got a diploma in "Education Canin" (Dog Education) and has been approved by the French government as a qualified trainer.

Suzanne has worked as kennel staff with dog guides for the blind and assisted with training in obedience classes. Suzanne and Laurent together have owned and trained therapy dogs for special needs children; obedience competition dogs and agility dogs. We have also participated in tracking, carting and lure coursing.

Our kennel was specially designed with an air exchange system, in-floor heating, forced air heat and air conditioning.

For our larger guests we have runs that consists of an indoor area measuring 5’x 8’ and an outdoor run consisting of cement and rounded pebbles that measures 5’ x 13’. The two areas are separated by an insulated door that we control depending on your dogs preferences and the weather.

Like you, we want your dog to be comfy and we would welcome his bed from home, and his favourite toy or two. If you prefer, we can also provide the comforts of home so you don’t need to bring them.

It is essential that you bring your own food. Upset stomachs because of a food change can lead to extreme diarrhea and life threatening problems. We also require your vaccinations are up to date and include kennel cough. Please bring your vaccination certificates with you.
